SOCIAL ORGANISATION PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTARY ACTION (SOPVA) is a registered organization under Trust Act, started its journey 8 year back. The noble cause of the organization is the development of the needy people of Odisha who needs support for their development irrespective of religion, caste, creed, sex and colour. Poverty and backwardness will be the basic criteria, whom we want to support and to address other social problems in the urban as well as rural areas.
The organization is the brain child of a group of professionally educated youths both male and female from different districts of Odisha state to form an organization to work for the above mentioned cause. After several meetings and consultations the organization has been registered under the Indian Trust Act on 2nd March 2015.
To build capacity of the target area population through awareness, motivation, training, skill development, environment, education and health promotion, income generation to ensure livelihood and linkage to access development opportunities.
Empowerment of people through creating awareness, to address the social and environmental problems, towards an improve quality life and peaceful urban and rural community. An equitable society where women and men can freely realize their full potential, fulfill their rights and responsibilities and lead their life with dignity and self-respect. Sustainable, Resilient and Equitable Society.
- To support for improving the livelihood conditions and economic standard of the poor people;
- To implement activities such as health, education, awareness generation, agriculture promotion, sports and culture, women and child development activities;
- To establish, open and run school, college, technical education, handicrafts training for knowledge promotion, skill and capacity development;
- To grant and pay scholarship, stipend, prizes, reward to the students and persons of eminence if various filed for their contribution to the society;
- To engage in programs in general and in particular primary, adult, non-formal, technical, vocational and other latest education system for development;
- To promote appropriate technology, renewable and non-conventional source of energy;
- To organize seminar, promote recreation centers, reading rooms and related activities;
- To observe National Days, celebrate different functions, and observe Other days to promote National Integration;
